Top Photo Editing Apps for android

1.Cupslice Photo Editor

Cupslice is a photo editor with a little more tact and polish, even if the features aren’t as heavy as some of these others. It comes with over 50 effects to start along with your basic editing tools. It also includes a number of stickers you can add to photos and that number gets updated every week. It’s a nice, simple app that should suit the needs of most people.

2. Photo Editor Pro

It is a very solid photo editor app even if there’s nothing over-the-top about it. It features a one-touch enhance feature, filters, frames, and the basic photo improvement tools
like color balance, crop, and rotate. Again, there’s nothing overly special about it, but it is a solid option for people who just need to do a little touching up here and there.

3. Photo Effects Pro

Photo Effects Pro has a few more fun features than many of these other ones. For instance, you can insert meme pictures to make funny pictures, finger paint on the photo like you can with S-Pen on the Galaxy Note 3, and of course the standard tools, filters, and frames features. It’s another very solid (and totally free) offering that should fill the needs of most people. It also boasts that it only uses the internet to share photos.

Battery saving Apps on Android

Battery saving Apps on Android
Android battery boost

1. Juice Defender

Description :The free client lets you manage common connections, such as mobile data as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Multiple preset modes, like "aggressive" and "balanced," allow for toggling and scheduling, background synchronization, and choosing which apps can keep your screen on.

Aside from the free app, Juice Defender also comes in Plus ($1.99) and Ultimate ($4.99) versions. Depending on what level of control you are looking for, one might be better suited for your needs. The Plus version, for instance, adds "extreme" and "customized" profiles as well as location-aware Wi-Fi, not to mention scheduling for night hours. The Ultimate app also boasts peak hours and weekend settings, autosync, and deeper GPS controls.

2.Battery Defender
It offers plenty of options at no cost. It might sound trivial, but I like having the exact battery percentage listed in my notification bar. Far more accurate than what the stock experience usually gives you, it's a simple pleasure.
Battery Defender provides quick and painless access to toggling your common connections such as GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth. I like being able to hop in and turn off the stuff I'm not using -- every little bit helps. While this sort of thing is built into many of today's top Android phones, older or less popular models aren't so fortunate.
Another feature that users will appreciate is Genius Scan, which allows sync to occur every 15 minutes. The adjustable "quiet sleeping" option disables Wi-Fi and data connections at night, a helpful feature for those who do not sleep next to their phones.

3. Go Battery Saver & Power Widget
It keeps an eye on your apps to determine which are eating up battery more than others. By assigning a score to your battery, the app is able to determine which features you can enable or disable to extend its life. Tapping the optimize button, in essence, cleans everything up and tacks on some extra expected life. Doing this alone can provide an extra hour or more.
While the free app is stocked with options and settings, the premium pack brings about another dozen features. Available through in-app purchase for $4.99, this upgraded bundle removes ads and tosses in scheduled settings, more control over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and CPU, and a third "extreme" mode.
The app provides quick access to a number of settings with two home screen widgets. Should you go with the premium option, there are three more widgets to choose from. A number of skins or themes are available for Go Dev's own widgets, and you can also adjust how items appear in the notification bar.

App for free calls over 2G network

App for free calls over 2G network

Nanu_storyimage.jpg

NANU

Making free phone calls over the Internet is no big deal. Apps such as FaceTimeViberSkype and many more let you do that. But none of these work well, or not at all, on 2G networks - which are common in India. Free Android app Nanu is here to change that.
Nanu claims to be able to let you call any other Nanu user for free even on 2G networks. You can also call devices which don't have the Nanu app installed, but those calls are restricted to 15 minutes, according to a report by The Next Web. Once the time limit expires, there is no way to call phones that aren't running Nanu. Those on small data plans might still be worried about the utility of Nanu with the consumption of 2G data, but the company says 1MB of data is sufficient for 10 minutes of phone calls.
So how does Nanu support all these free calls? In one word - advertisements. Nanu plays ads while you're waiting for your contact to answer the phone. These ads stop playing the moment your call is answered. We found that Nanu worked well on a 2G network in New Delhi. As of now, the app doesn't seem to have any third-party ads. While waiting for a contact to receive our call, we just heard a message asking us to download Nanu playing on loop.
According to its website, Nanu supports calls to landline numbers in 41 countries including India and to mobile phones in 9 countries - again including India. The company plans to expand to other countries and platforms. Its website says that apps for "iOS and Windows" will be available "later this year" and that Nanu also plans to add a messaging feature.

How to install Whats app on your computer /pc /laptop

WhatsApp is the bread and butter of instant messaging nowadays. Though the service finds itself miles ahead of its competitors, there are still several features and functions that are lacking, like being able to use the chat via computer, a characteristic that other apps of this genre have already adopted. Today we will tell you how to install WhatsApp on your PC.

Learn Java

© AndroidPIT
For the time being, the makers haven’t released an official program for this purpose, leaving users to resort to other Android apps. Though we talk about BlueStacks to complete this procedure here, there are other programs like Wassapp or YouWave that work as well.

How to install WhatsApp using BlueStacks

The process is really simple and takes about 15 minutes. The first thing you’ll need is the BlueStacks Android emulator. This program will set up the home screen and the Android smartphone programs on your computer and it can be installed from Google Play.
I would like to clarify two things which I personally think are quite useful:
  • When you activate WhatsApp on your computer, the account on your smartphone will be deactivated, as it only allows one account per device.
  • BlueStacks is an English-only application, so if you are using a different language, make sure that you do not use characters/letters which aren’t found in the English alphabet.
1. Download BlueStacks and the WhatsApp Emulator. Follow the installation process as indicated during the procedure.
2. When you open the program you will see a search icon in the top left hand side which you will use to search for WhatsApp.

You will find the search icon in the top left corner. / © AndroidPIT

Look for WhatsApp. / © AndroidPIT
3. In order to search for the application, BlueStacks requires two configuration steps. For this reason, it will open a window called One Time Setup. Follow the instructions until you see the message. You are all done!
4. After you are finished this process, Google Play will automatically open. Now you’ll need to insert the information from your account.
5. Once you are in Google Play, it’s the same old steps: search and install WhatsApp.
6. Finally you simply need to set up your account in the application and indicate your phone number and country, after which you will receive a verification code of 6 digits on your phone. This code then needs to be entered into the verification box.
7. That's it!

Negative Points

My main issue with WhatsApp is that you can’t use the application on two devices at the same time. For this method to be useful if you already have WhatsApp installed, you would need two WhatsApp accounts, ie two phone numbers.
Any contacts not synchronized with Google won't appear straight away, instead appearing only when one of them happens to write you a message. You also have the option of adding contacts from a previous installation of WhatsApp to your computer (eg. from your smartphone).

Shadowrun Returns :

Shadowrun got its start as a pen-and-paper RPG, trading in the sword-and-sorcery setting of Dungeons and Dragons for a bleak Blade Runner future... that also has swords and sorcery. This game is a mobile port of the eponymous Steam title, which aims to bring the iconic mix of cyberpunk and fantasy into a top-down, turn-based RPG. There's a fair bit of tactical play as well if you enjoy the nitty-gritty of cover and critical hits. It's pretty expensive at ten bucks, but it's a brand new game .

The hit crowdfunded RPG of the summer arrives on Android. MAN MEETS MAGIC & MACHINE. The year is 2054. Magic has returned to the world, awakening powerful creatures of myth and legend. Technology merges with flesh and consciousness. Elves, trolls, orks and dwarves walk among us, while ruthless corporations bleed the world dry. You are a shadowrunner - a mercenary living on the fringes of society, in the shadows of massive corporate arcologies, surviving day-by-day on skill and instinct alone.

Angry Birds Star Wars II Free:

It's Angry Birds. It's Star Wars. Again. This time the playing field is the prequel series, because Rovio apparently ran out of good movies pretty quickly. The one major addition to the gameplay (if you don't count all the new stages and birds) is the ability to import characters with Skylanders-style toy figurines.

The Force is strong with this one. Get ready for Angry Birds Star Wars II – the epic follow-up to the #1 smash hit game. Based on the Star Wars movie prequels, use the Force for good against the greedy Pork Federation or choose a much darker path. That’s right; for the first time ever you can “Join the Pork Side” and play as the fearsome Darth Maul, Emperor Palpatine and many other favorites.

Dead on Arrival 2:

Intense co-operative zombie survival. Tear through wave after wave of the walking dead as you fight for your life in an industrial playground filled with deadly traps and deadlier enemies. An intense top down survival shooter, bringing console quality graphics to your mobile device. Featuring a Strategic Spending System, survival is based not just on your skills but also the decisions you’ll make about how to spend the precious Z-Bucks earnt from each kill. Making the wrong decision between more ammo now or a better weapon later could mean life or death.

FINAL FANTASY V:

FINAL FANTASY V first debuted in 1992 as the fifth installment in the iconic FINAL FANTASY series. This wildly popular RPG was the first in the series to sell over two million copies. This groundbreaking title allowed players to customize their characters with an unprecedented degree of freedom thanks to a new job and ability system that further improved and refined the job change system used in FINAL FANTASY III. The title also saw the introduction of more detailed and expressive 2D character models, which helped further fuel the player's imagination, making the story even more immersive and fun to play.

Jet Airways launches official Android app in Google Play

Indian airline Jet Airways has launched its official Android app in Google Play. Available for free, the application includes the expected features like flight ticket booking, flight status check and flight notifications. In addition, users will be able to enrol in or access JetPrivilege account directly from the app.

Jet Airways App

Many essential features like flight check-in (although present in the app) are not working right now, which we expect will be added in the coming weeks/ months.

“We are excited to launch our Android app which is a result of a multi-level collaboration between Jet Airways and Google. This is another step in leveraging the potential of mobile technology to offer substantial convenience and ease while adding great value to our guests’ overall experience while they interact with the airline,” said Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways.

MapmyIndia adds real-time traffic updates in Android app

MapmyIndia has announced that its Android app now shows real-time traffic updates for select cities.  The feature seems to have been made live in the last update, which was pushed on September 6 to the app; the company was probably removing any last minute kinks before officially revealing about the feature.

Learn Java
The cities for which you can now check real-time traffic data using MapmyIndia app are Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru. It is a surprisingly small number of cities and the company should have at least included traffic data for all tier-1 cities.
We checked out the feature on our phone just now and it seems to be working fine but overall the whole MapmyIndia app is too slow and seriously needs a revamp. Given the fact that Google Maps already offer traffic data for a lot more cities and along with free voice-guided navigation support, there is hardly any reason why anyone would want to use MapmyIndia app.

BBM for Android and iOS launch expected this week; installation file leaks

BBM For android

The much anticipated cross-platform avatar of BlackBerry Messenger or BBM is soon expected to appear on Android devices and iPhones, with the company hosting events in Malaysia and India on September 18th, where it's expected to offer more details about the service including its launch date.

In the meanwhile, it seemed as if the person behind Samsung Mobile Nigeria's official Twitter account jumped the gun and announced that BBM would debut on Friday, September 20th and confirmed that it would be exclusively available on Samsung devices for three months, in response to a user's tweet.

However, BlackBerry has denied that the service would be exclusive to Samsung customers. The company issued a statement to CrackBerry that quoted Victoria Berry, BBM Communications Director at BlackBerry as saying, "The excitement around the upcoming BBM launch on iPhone and Android devices seems to know no bounds. Although I'm a big fan of this passion, I want to clarify that no one will have an exclusive on offering BBM. We'll be bringing the app to Android and iPhone users across the globe soon."

Earlier, Samsung had announced that the messenger would be available on the company's app storethat comes preloaded on its Galaxy series of Android devices, and on the Google Play Store, across the African continent. Samsung had also agreed to join marketing efforts to showcase BBM for Android to customers and to mobile users across Africa.

4 camera app alternatives to Instagram

Not a Meta Tag, but required anyway
1) Photosynth by Microsoft Corp. Free. For iOS only (Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch).

The app guides you as you stand in one place and capture photos in all directions. Then it stitches those images together to create a sphere-like panorama that viewers can scroll around in and zoom in and out.

You can share the panorama on Facebook, Twitter or Photosynth.net.

It takes a bit of practice, and it's not an app I would use every day. But I found that in the right setting - such as Roman ruins by the sea in Byblos, near Beirut, or my sister's beach wedding - the results can be breathtaking.

It's a great way to capture a panoramic landscape such as mountain views, beaches or bridges. Plenty of examples - and inspiration - can be found on Photosynth.net.

2)  TiltShift Generator by Arts & Mobile. Free for basic features, 99 cents for higher resolution and album upload. For iOS only.

Tilt shift is a camera effect that blurs the edges of a picture, creating an optical illusion that makes everything in the photo look miniature.

Instagram has that feature (it's the droplet icon when you are taking or editing a picture). I prefer TiltShift Generator because it gives you more control.

You can control where and how much blurring to produce. You can also determine how much darkening around the corners you want to produce a vignette effect. You can also adjust the saturation, brightness and contrast.

Pictures turn out gorgeous. Some of my favorite iPhone pictures during my trip to Lebanon were taken with this app. The effect makes houses high on a mountaintop and a courtyard fountain stand out in my images.

3) Hipstamatic by Synthetic LLC. $1.99 for basic features, with 99-cent add-ons to give you more imaging options. For iOS only.

Unlike most filtering apps, you don't adjust a photo after you've taken it. Instead, you choose different virtual lenses, flashes and film beforehand, and you can't change the setting after you take the shot.

The app is not very intuitive, the settings are hard to keep track of and the accompanying guide isn't very helpful. But I was able to catch on after a friend gave me a tutorial. Once you get a sense of which virtual lens works best under which conditions, you can create stunning photos.

In Lebanon, in fact, I ended up taking most of my pictures with Hipstamatic because of how it gave life to street scenes that would have looked gritty otherwise. Its "Helga Viking Lens" gave the yellow dust filtering through the streets a romantic feel, and its "John S" lens transformed crumbling ivy-covered
pre-war buildings with a retro-cool blue.

4)PhotoToaster by East Coast Pixels, Inc. Free version called PhotoToaster Jr. Full version costs $1.99 and gives you more choices and control. For iOS and Android devices.

I love the ease of flipping through filters on Instagram until I see one that makes my photo pop, but sometimes I want a little more control over the specific effects.

PhotoToaster lets me do both. You can apply preset filters such as "Tuneup," "Pro," "Happy" and "Chill." You can also tap a button and have more precise control over exposure, color temperature, light and other settings.

.None of these apps replace Instagram's addictive ability to let you instantly share pictures with friends and strangers alike.

Photosynth is probably the closest to having its own social network for sharing results, but you must go to its website and images are limited to the 360-degree panoramas. You also don't have a circle of friends you regularly exchange images with.

The adventures of Barry Steakfries are never-ending. Jetpack Joyride is the brainchild of HalfBrick Studios, immensely popular for their creations such as Fruit Ninja, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, Age of Zombies and another running game called Monster Dash. Jetpack Joyride features the adventures of Barry Steakfries, a disgruntled bureaucrat who breaks in to a secret laboratory and runs amok dodging dangerous objects like zappers, lasers, electricity fields and even guided missiles. Barry is equipped with a jetpack powered by machine gun propulsions to begin with, that help him on his missions.

3. Subway Surfers
A product of Kiloo Games and Sybo Games, Subway Surfers is based on Jake's running skills on train tracks amidst incoming trains and being chased by the station officer and his police dog. You'll find yourself mostly dodging objects by sliding, jumping and shifting to the sides in vibrant and colourful environments. The game animation gives a very child-like appeal and the music has a hint of naughtiness that doesn't go unnoticed.

4. Rail Rush
Developed by Miniclip.com, Rail Rush is a challenging on-the-move game set in underground mines. Hop in to the cart and start exploring 6 different surroundings amongst caverns, waterfalls, spider nests, dead cities and mushroom halls, tilting and swiping to avoid signals and obstacles on the rail tracks.

You can complete missions such as "Jump up 20 times in a game", "Enter secret level five times" or Die in Dead City 5 times" and level up from a Passer By to Novice and other higher ranks.

5. Pitfall
A remastered version of the 1982 classic, Pitfall for iOS and Android follows the adventures of Harry in a volcanic jungle filled with treacherous twists. In this game from Activision, you'll find yourself dodging your way across narrow trenches, dark caverns, and cascading waterfalls, swinging past chasms and whipping away the occasional rattlesnakes, scorpions and crocodiles blocking your path. You must jump and slide to avoid obstacles such as fiery volcanic flames, tumbling ancient artefacts and narrow cliff side pathways.

6. Into The Dead
It's safe to say that everyone loves a zombie game whether it's intense like Dead Trigger and Age of Zombies or light hearted like Plants vs. Zombies. A first-person endless runner game exclusive for iOS from PikPok, Into the Dead let's you experience a grim zombie apocalypse by simply running in the opposite direction. As you'd like a true zombie game to be, Into The Dead offers an intense and visceral zombie-escaping experience in the wilderness with your own breathing sounds occasionally overshadowed by zombie cries.

Eventually you will succumb to the flesh eating zombies, but you're also rewarded for your success with coins. Those coins can be used to pay for perks, which cost little and last just one round. It's easier to survive when you can pay to start with a gun, or to jump ahead 1500m, hold more ammo or find more weapon crates.

7. Agent Dash
Here's a game that lets you don the Bond avatar in true style. As the name suggests, you're Agent Dash and your mission is to sprint as far and as fast as you can through a series of dangerous yet gorgeous environments of enemy bases. The game's animation resembles a lot like Disney's art style. The soundtrack is very spy-like and so are the subtle touches like those of footsteps.

Players will find themselves starting each round with jungle surroundings that itself is pretty challenging. It will take more than a while before you can witness other bases such as the lava lair or the town.

8. Run Like Hell
The name just says it all. That's the basic aim and once you play Run like Hell, you'll know that it is difficult to keep up. The game is a frantically paced run-and-jump platformer where you'll mostly see yourself sliding, climbing, stringing, jumping and crawling to safety and avoid the clutches of the native hungry tribals coming at you with spears for a juicy spit roast!

The game has three game modes namely endless, story and time-trials set in various environments like ancient ruins, night jungles and beach, village and caverns. Every environment has its own set of obstacles such as boulders, treasure chests, turtle shells on the beach; mad bee hives, anger tribal women in night trails.

While Endless mode can get you running until the tribals catch you, in time trials you can challenge yourself to complete a stage in a stipulated time. Story mode has comic cut scenes as you progress in the storyline.

9.Totem Runner
An iOS exclusive from Chillingo, Totem Runner is one of a kind. You're a warrior trying to secure harmony and happiness to the earth, sowing flowers as you go along. The game has an upbeat soundtrack that ensures you'll be surprised every step of the way.

The initial stage, Waterfalls Valley is a tutorial to get you acquainted with the various kind of totems you'll be using in your journey. Eternal Wind Totem makes you fly with Eagle Wings, which can soar and dodge cliffs and spikes in air.

Nature's Rage Totem transforms you into a boar form to smash obstacles and enemies on the ground. The Dragon's Light Totem is an ancient force you can summon with enough gems that easily gets you through stretches until the next checkpoint arrives. But you'd want to spend them wisely since collecting gems is not all that easy and only after 50 odd gems or so, you'll be awarded with one Dragon Light Totem.

10. TheEndApp
Besides offering a perfect end to our list, Goroid Games' TheEndApp employs the basic skill of running for as long as you can. It is a behind-the-back endless runner, with a currency and IAP system and tilt and swipe controls and uses original water effects.

Photo editing apps for android

The environs offer a refreshing look with urban hazards, striking looks, light-hearted tone and the damage model it applies. Obstacles along the way include lava pits, cracked cement, jack-knifed trucks and broken car. There are ramps at various points to help you cover longer distances. There are 28 days with 5 challenges each day.

Unlike other games, TheEndApp offers you multiple chances to keep running even if you bump into an obstacle. For instance, if you bang into a car while tilting to pick up a snaking line of duct tape, your screen becomes a shade of crimson for a few seconds. Another differentiating factor that is themed to the game is that while most other games allow you to collect coins or gems, The End App offers duct tape.
